I've had a lot of GMs ask me about this so I will put it to the league.

i would be ok with it as long as no player decreased. I understand some players got short changed.

I voted yes, we could do them all or each team gets 1 re rate or each player gets 2 categories re rated.

I voted yes but I'm on the fence. Either way, I expressed my concerns last time through.....I may lean to the jets way, but i also know Andy did do up a file that was more respectful of past draft picks like Semin, Kovalchuk, Spezza, meaning not all the guys in 03 were treated like Crosby's, which was one of my concerns. I think now that this season is playing itself in real NHL, the 03 picks may in fact look a little different or moreso the same in some cases--I'm sure for example Fleury's DU would take a hit where Getzlaf might finally be recognized moreso as Staal's equal. Whatever is deemed as fair by all of you, I'm fine with. I know all decisions will be reached with a consensus.

If you have time for sure that would be good. I agree that the players shouldn't come out with today's abilities though and should be as if they were still just coming into the league.

I agree with whatever the league majority decides...I did have some concerns over how some were created but if it is too much work then I wouldn't worry about it. Either way, the Sens are okay with whichever decision is made.

I admit I have yet to vote, but this a rather poor turn out for an initiative. I don't imagine we will be doing this without at least a few more votes cast. There doesn't seem to be any opposition but I question whether it is worth the effort if there is a lack of support just the same.

I agree with your assessment Kevin.
Step it up people.
However given that this was essentially the reason this league was created (lets be honest, thats why the other one shut down), I think we need to ensure this is a priority.

Only 10 voters – definitely need others to step it up. With the preseason just about to end, lets have an activity check (maybe send an email out as well) and get a good idea of who is around and who isn’t. It’s better to do this sooner than later as to ensure new GMs can start with the team from the beginning of the regular season, not a quarter way through it. Thoughts?

Yup, if they cant be bothered to check in to a huge issue like this (again, the one that made this league have a mandate) why are we carrying them?

"if they cant be bothered to check in to a huge issue like this...why are we carrying them?"
So your big plan would be to fire these gm's?!! all 16! I think its more that there is really only a few teams that were not happy with their player ratings, I for one, had no first round picks, but as far as my player ratings go, I am fine with them. Don't get me wrong, I voted (indifferent), but I don't think some people realize that just because a player in 2008 has a great season or two, does not entitle them to great player ratings in 2003 (don't forget, this is a fantasy league, not based on NHL stats) so if you want your player to be a Star, them invest money into him, put him in camps, put him into a roster spot that will give him an opportunity to thrive. From what I've seem, we are arguing over what, 1ov stat? He's a 73 when he should have been a 74? That seems rediculous to me. I just think that this issue should just go away. An activity check is a great idea tho, see how many are still here.

I HONESTLY DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS A POLL OR I WOULD'VE ANSWERED LONG AGO SORRY BOYS. ANYWAYS, I VOTED INDIFFERENT, JUST FOR THE FACT THAT WE SHOULD LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE AND GET THIS LEAGUE GOING . WE SHOULD START AFTER NEXT DRAFT IMO.

" (don't forget, this is a fantasy league, not based on NHL stats)"
Actually player ratings are based ENTIRELY on NHL career stats.
"I just think that this issue should just go away."
Really?
So why did you even post? Expressing an opinion that opinions shouldn't matter... seems a little odd to me.
I do agree that 1 OV doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things. However the entire reason we are here is due to lopsided rankings in the eyes of some where certain teams created players were far better than others, and it usually wasnt due to an OV, but moreso a differnce of 5 or 8 or so in one key rating, such as SC.
