Updated league files are loaded onto the site
Regular season rosters are updated, with preseason rerates applied
Trades and position switches have been updated
-
If I missed anything please let me know.
I'll do the alternates and captain bonuses tomorrow (basically once we have more of them on the forums).
So guess what motha'fucka's? We are good to f**k**g go! Tomorrow I'm going to kick things off with a front page update when the first two days of games are simmed. This also means if you're working on getting under the cap, take this chance to reevaluate where you stand. Tomorrow is decision day, get your lines in, make some trades, buyout contracts*, anything to get under the cap if you're over. Remember again, send all league stuff to Buhockeyleagueyahoo[.]com
I just want to make a note, I'm going to be keeping track of roster moves and start applying them to GM reputation points (they don't mean anything in terms of rerates) basically this point system will be used by me when it boils down to discussing contracts and presigning. In short, it'll reflect the attitude of the players toward you as a GM. Some examples:
Make a realistic promise to a player to entice them to your roster and pull that promise off. Your reputation grows. If you don't make the promise, the reputation shrinks.
Send a player to the farm squad who clearly belongs on the pro roster, there's a potential that it'll damage your reputations amongst the players.
Trade your recently signed UFAs. This will sour your reputation amongst UFAs and decrease their likelyhood of signing with you until the reputation is repaired (unless there are huge perks to the offer, lack of bidders, ect ect)
Go over the cap to a point where players begin to get suspended, obviously it'll hurt you.
It's just a system I'll be testing out over the next season, if successful, it'll be a nice long term gauge to see how gambles by GMs pay off.

*- On the subject of buyouts, you do have the ability to buy out a players contract at any time. You have to pay 75% of the total worth of the contract to do so, but it is an effective way to trim some fat.
