It's closer than a lot of you think it is. 13 sim days away is about 6.5 days real time.

Any chance we can push this back a day or so? I think this would be a great chance to try and drum up some activity

I put it to a vote and 3 Gms said yes 1 said No and a bunch didn't respond.
So trade extension granted.

Okay,
So here it is, I have been extremely busy, as it seems many of you have been, and so has Josh. Perhaps in my haste I have mishandled the trade deadline.
There was little to no activity this season – a shame – and the resulting extension was brought about for two reasons
A) To encourage more activity B) In the hopes that Josh would reply to the pre-pre-signings
Neither seems to have taken place. So with complaints about my vagueness and a lack of response from both Josh and myself on the pre-offers I am opting to pause the season. I am doing this in the hope that it drums up much needed activity on the trade front and will provide some more feedback for those who qualified for rewards and who are at risk of losing them to circumstance.
So to be clear…. We are on pause and trades are open to the league for the time being. If you have any objections, questions or concerns by all means voice them.
Also, fearing that Josh may take longer than expected to return to us I invite everyone to (re)submit all offers to myself as I will be acting as the agent in his absence.
I hope this serves to the benefit of the league rather than the detriment as that is clearly my intention.
Cheers

Not that it matter to me either way but;
1) We don't need every trade deadline to be as busy as the last. I for one new before the deadine that I was done making trades for the season. Others may also be in the same position. Alot of teams are close to the cap which restricts the amount of movment they can amake. I would much rather the deadline be passed, even if it was a very inactive time of the season. The season itself had FOUR pages of trades in the Trade Confirmation thread.
2) Like you said Kevin, you have been VERY busy. Are you sure you want to take the extra time and take on Josh's FA offers awell? I'm worried that he has already started talks and you two may go in two completly different directions when negotiating a deal. Due to everyone's busy scheduel, alot has been, for lack of better words, missed/wasted. The pre signing period usually starts after the deadline. I for one haven't got a response from either of you regarding the PRE-PRE negotiations I earned through articles. I know its because you have been busy. I think you will be swamped with offers if you don't wait for Josh to return.(Or at least wait for a response from Josh)
