SO!
Here’s a bit of food for thought.
I would like to organize a ratings committee. This committee will take care of some lingering offseason issues that contributed to the unexpected folding of the league. I would like to recreate the ‘03 prospects using this committee approach. Each committee member would create their own list of prospect creations. The statistical average of all of these lists would then be used to create the prospects.
It is my intention to create a separate forum for this committee one that all GM s can view but only the members may post in.
I would also like to have each team have a rerate based on last seasons stats.
Except. I don’t have them.
If anyone does please send them along.
As far as getting the season underway is concerned. I feel that the most prudent course of action is to proceed from where we left off. Meaning, while I am open to contraction, I think the best idea is to finish the free agency (which was almost over) and discuss and plan for any team contraction during this season.
I would appreciate if GM s would nominate members for this committee. If needs be we will bring it to a vote.
The committee will likely handle trade disputes ect. as well so keep that in mind.
As always all opinions are welcome.
Cheers Kevin

Happy new year to all!
With a new year upon us and my headache fading into a dull roar it is my pleasure to announce that a 25 game preseason will start tomorrow at midnight. Tonight league files will be posted as will our pre-season schedule.
I encourage all GM’s to shuffle their younger players into prominent roles much like you would see in an NHL preseason. Instead of fighting for a roster spot your players will be showcasing their skill sets for the purposes of developmental re-rates. These re-rates will replace development camps (at least for this season) and will be detailed further in coming days.
With 49 days allocated for the schedule I will be double simming on every third day starting with the first day.
Just a heads up tomorrow night’s sims are as follows:
Day 1 1 BLACKHAWKS at FLAMES
Day 2 2 CANUCKS at BLACKHAWKS 3 OILERS at BLUES
Day 3 4 RANGERS at CANUCKS 5 RED WINGS at OILERS 6 PENGUINS at FLYERS
Day 4 7 MAPLELEAFS at RANGERS 8 SENATORS at RED WINGS 9 BRUINS at PENGUINS

Could we have a link on the main page to the forum?

The main logo is actually a direct link to the main page and it appears on every forum page.
As for the email, Kevin and I are working on that one. I'm going to be doing a bunch of screwing around tonight, which should spell for a definite answer to that question.

Email address updated for lines, roster changes, articles. (UFA's can still go to my email) Sim is up.
Speaking of UFA's, we need to recreate all UFAs, that's the next project on the list.
The preseason is rolling along nicely now that the initial growing pains have been fleshed out.

So about the UFAs - what's the update on our offers to UFAs? Sens are crossing our fingers on a backup goaltender!
