I think that this league is established enough that we should have real farm requirements.
Nothing is more frustrating than seeing a team score on yu by an unknown assisted by two unknowns. The sim should be better than this, and make teams without goalies and no more than 5 players lose 40-0, but it doesnt for some reason.
I see no reason every team cant have 2 of every forward position, 4 D and 1 G as a minimum on the farm, to help reduce these instances.

I love this idea. It would be easy to phase in as well, since we now run on a four round system in the draft.

Would there be a punishment for not following the minimum requirments? My only concern is that if the pro team becomes so depleted due to injuries/suspensions, many call ups may be encountered...I feel any sort of punishment (other than a cash fine) would be too much. I would like to see something like this as soon as possible.

Definately a good idea - I would agree that a cash fine would be the best punishment (fairly minor, but still something a team doesn't want to lose for nothing - maybe $50,000 per game without this completed roster?)

I think this is something that should get some more attention so that something can happen in the offseason around this idea.
I agree there should be farm minimums but suggest that instead of penalties for the gms who don't abide by it...reward the gms who actually do it. Doesn't need to be anything huge...maybe an extra rerate request for a farm hand or three player points toward a player that played all games on the farm in the year.
We always seem to be discussing penalties...why not reward the guys who are able to do their job well for a change?

RE-WAAAR-REDD??!! I'm not sure what that word is? Did you just make it up?! I like it, and the idea...we are always so negative.
I'm sure this (farm requirments) is something that will be established in the off-season, not this regular season. But it is good we are discussing it.

I also think that is a good idea....next off-season is when this will happen though. There simply is not enough players in the league yet.

Maybe it will give some guys lacking depth time to go out and collect some 4th rd draft picks or something to help add to their depth in the offseason.

It'll also make later round picks a bit more valuable too
